As soon as you start this you will be accused of being anti mod whatever that is.

I guess that ultimately banning has to be an option for someone who is determined to be an arsehole however I think that it may be counterproductive with this troll. The other point is that you may be able to justify banning for the troll but the power was abused in the banning of nicegirls were his banning was payback time rather than for the actual offence also qph abused the power in banning pats bodyguard at the time on the pretence that it was for multiple profiles.


Anyway banning is essentially pointless the only reason the troll gets caught is because he wants to be caught HD makes no attempt to hide but if you don't ban him then what do you do with him???

ita a hard one because we dont know what will work unless its been tried. everyone ignoring their posts can be effective as seen on other forums.

if the troll wasnt banned but had its user permissions cut so that it could only post in soap-opera where they could be ignored or plainly slagged off may be an answer worth trying.

or as Dolly suggests - "a troll sitting room" as a forum apart, is a fair enough idea. (seperate forums can be set up in minutes with the admin control panel)
