If this is true, then I wonder what the implications will be for us, nothing unpleasant I hope, the place won't be the same without Pat, she's a bit like us, has a naughty sense of humour, we would miss that.
However, I wish her well, perhaps she has done the right thing.

I wonder who will be sitting in her chair next.
