Wouldn't say he fucked up, his approach was very close to perfect, bang on line just a half a club too much, probably his only mistake over 18 holes. but its such fine lines majors are won and lost.

    Default Poor Old Tom

I was talking earlier today to a friend of mine who was at the Open. He said that the atmosphere was electric until Tom bogeyed the 72nd hole and that it became like a funeral service as soon as it became clear that Cink was going to win. Just goes to show how much Tom is liked and respected.

It would've been great if he did win the open. He was an underdog and at the same time a legend. It would've been a very popular win. I don't know what it is about the British Open, last year Greg Norman put on a good show against Harrington. It just shows the talentt is still there no matter how old they are.

Harrington shouldn't have changed his swing. Surely he must recognise to go back to what he was doing before. When Phil Taylor changed his darts last year everyone was beating him at first. But then when he got used to them he was unstoppable again. But theres no guarantee that will happen with Harrington.

Help Keyla in her fight with cancer. Every little helps.
It could happen to any of us.

tom had a good innings anyway, hes won 5 majors so not bad,the crowd was defo on his side and i dont think there was many that happy to see stuart cink win.did anyone notice when he took his cap off,wat the hell was that underneath.his head was two completly different colours, and the shape, shit he looks like sumtin out of alien 3.lee westwood was unlucky thought he played well, just let himself down on the last couple.as for p.harrington, dont think he will be winning any more majors.looks completely shot

I agree that Harrington shouldnt have changed his swing although I suppose at the end of the day he has to do what he feels is right for him. I know that in the past both Tiger Woods and Nick Faldo changed their swing and both eventually came back better than they were before so the same thing may happen to him. Guess we will just have to wait and see.
