    Lightbulb Giving blood.

a guy i know in the US was diagonsed with Luekemia and while the chemo worked well and cleared it all,he has a complication of bleeding internally and was given blood. He got blood from over 30 ppl and will need more.

This got me thinking as to ppl facing the same predicament in this country so i decided i will give blood regularly.I also decided to get a donar card because why not,its not like i need a liver ,kidney etc if i am dead.

So how do i go about giving blood?Hospital, doc, caravan somewhere?

You would have to get yourself checked out first, to make sure your blood is ok.

Im sure theres blood drives going on constantly, youll find one soon enough

Its not me i be worried about ,its the other person.

A person gets my blood and three days later their doctor recieves a phone call.

"Hello doc,Henry hasnt be right since he got that blood. He keeps telling us he is leaving all the time and he is still here".

Im just saying even if there is a minor problem like too much/ not enough iron in your blood, youll be turned down, or even if you haqve lived outside the country you could be turned down

Ok, first you have to fill out a form and of course lie because one of the questions is have you ever visited an escort, if you are comfortable with that a nurse will call you to go over the questionnaire or any questions you may have, she will give your finger a little prick to draw a drop of blood which she will use to check your Iron, if all is ok they take your blood including a separate little pouch of blood that is sent away for testing, if it passes the testing phase it is then released to the hospitals, if it isn't you will get a call from the blood bank and depending on what they find you may be asked to come in or visit your GP but be warned if they call you in it's never good news, usually means you have HIV or HEP

I nearly need blood myself after all of that.So basically a nurse fingers my prick, and gets my pouch tested and then sends my iron of to an appliance store.

    Great stuff,
