Can anybody tell me how to download movies so I can them burn them onto a dvd.
Realplayer tels you when you can download via realplayer manager which then downloads it directly to realplayer who in turn have burning facility. What I want to know is there any other way of doing this.

Ok so i take it your a novice at pc's or else you wouldn't be asking so i'll show you an easy way but slightly more risky.

Firstly install a good Anti-virus program (I use kaspersky). Then download and install uTorrent, Peer Guardian and VSO ConvertxtoDvd (this is a hacked free version)
These are all you need to download whatever you want. I use Releaslog to keep track of the latest Films TV programs and software releases and also Vcdquality for the latest films. I then go to either Mininova or isohunt and search for them. You can then convert and burn using VSO, very simple to use and great for keeping picture and sound in perfect sync. Do a little reading up on these programs and you will figure it out..

then torrents are sloooow buddy ... i can download any movie i want in 30-40 mins, warez-bb
google it my friend then sign up for free then browse for all the movies/shows/albums/games
that you want ... also theres LOADS of programs to convert your video files to play on a regular
DVD player i personally just use a Hacked(Free) version of Nero9 which you can use to encode
video to DVD or music to blank CD's ... you can also find Nero plus the AV's (Anti-Virus) Programs

Also a good post, the argument for AV could go on forever, at this stage they are all pretty much the same (except Norton and a few others) I did use Nero in the past but I found it slow at recoding and sometimes the sound wasn't great, put it out of sync on the odd occasion especially if it's handling a non-standard ratio. You should Try VSO yourself and come back to me with what you think. As for DD from Warez, don't like it, it's only a matter of time before they are forced to hand over there server logs, At least with newsgroups you have some chance as they are usually annonymous servers but too much hassle to explain to a noob..

Have you tried Usenet (NZB files), a lot faster than direct download as there are no speed limitations and they work well with accelerators, on my so so 4mb connection a 700mb movie takes 20mins "max"

Also with DD downloading multiple files is a pain in the arse, at least with Newsbin you can select multiple files to download and it does it in rotation. I subscribe to Giganews, about the best out there as with there upper packages there are no download limits and it's all encrypted.
