I wasn't sure what you meant re he took two condems till I read the independent article.

I'm assuming he too two condoms off and to me yes that is rape and 12 years would not be long enough.

Sadly in my opinion not everyone will agree, and probably a lot of cops would not.

Did you report it as a sex crime? I'm guessing you did and in which case if the cops did not follow up toroughly I woulf file a complain with the Garda ombudsman.

I hope you have got over your ordeal, I can't imagine how upsetting and stressful it must have been, and made worse by not getting the proper support from the relevant authorities.

There was recently a thread here about stealthing . That's when the man secretly removes the condom before penetration.
This is not consensual as the woman hasn't agreed to unprotected sex. Therefore it is rape.
It doesn't matter if he ejaculated or not Cindy,he would have left some DNA behind and it is rape obviously.

If it happened up North and you reported it to the PSNI and they didnt act you can report it to the Police Ombudsman.

The police/garda should have taken a dna swab at the very least as well as a statement.
