    Default No!

This Modding lark is a joke.

You post something and it is removed, not based on any 'rules' of the site but because of how a Mod interprets a supposed rule themselves.

Virtually nothing tongue-in-chees is left anymore - apparently for fear of it causing offence.

If a website promoting the sale of sex actually needs censorship, well then I think the site should be set up so that the creator of any thread can delete any posts made on their thread if they wish.

At least that person has some degree of ownership to the thread and can make sure a thread doesn't go completely off-topic if they wish.

I'm all for free speech - within a couple basic guidelines -

No Racism ( which we had to tolerate for how long thanks to Pat's inaction to Lizzy?)
No personal details being disclosed (but anybody disclosing their details to members really is setting themselves up)

    That's it.
    We aren't kids.
And this sure as hell isn't school.
So I don't need to be told to not fucking curse or not cause offence!

Jesus Christ, it's an online community - not Neighbours!!

    hi dom,

You post something and it is removed, not based on any 'rules' of the site but because of how a Mod interprets a supposed rule themselves.
can you show me an example of this?

apart from your idea of each person modding their own thread, what other way of preventing racism and personnel details being posted apart from the mods editing it is there, given that pat doesn,t have time to mod it herself?

I hardly notice that theres any mods at all. I have no problem with having mods. Their needed for removing personal information and racist remarks like dom saod. Also for removing inappropriate pictures.

More importantly when is asshole of the month returning

As Columbo would say one more thing

A suggestion would be, this isn't aimed at anyone. But instead of removing a whole thread if theres something inappropriate in it. Is is possible just to remove the inappropriate comments instead of everything.

i,d a look at this past months threads, there were 2 deleted, by request of the thread starter. there have been quite a few moved to the right section that they should be in.

but yes i,d agree that its better to remove bad comment rather that a thread.

I'm not too sure about that dom. I live right next door to you and I regularly hear a lot of loud groaning and moaning noices coming from your place.

Would you ever mind being a good neighbour and keeping the noice level down a bit.

As the Highwayman said, you would hardly notice them but one small observation, there is a rule of no posting on a ladies advert thread unless it is a question in relation to the advert, yet time and time again we see people start bitching matches on them. This is wrong and should be tightened.

    Example:

    https://www.escort-ireland.com/boards/touring-escorts/20422-new-finnish-girl-coming-dublin.html

Now I know QPH put in a post pointing out that all further posts would be deleted but that’s like not putting the Horse back in the stables after it has bolted!! All the post's should have been deleted, and to compound it, AD Staff accidently deleted it and Patricia re-instated it (on request), now that 2 Mods and the queen of the hill herself, why am I the only one to feel this way and point this out??
