As far as we on the forum know, no punter has been arrested yet in The Republic and that is a year after the introduction of the insane new law.

There is a case which has been adjourned in Northern Ireland against a punter, but will come up again. But it doesn't seem a straight forward punter escort encounter! The lady in question has refused to appear in court, which seemingly is making the case very difficult if not impossible to pursue!

The burden of proof to gain a conviction against a punter in Ireland is a higher than it is in Norway and Sweden. The police have had problems trying to close massage parlours in Dorset Street, despite locals protesting outside them. if the law was enforceable surely they would have done so by now!

If you are with a trafficked or coerced woman, you could end up in very serious trouble and if you suspect in advance of an encounter that is the case, you deserve to be!

My advice would be if you are caught in a brothel etc. apart from identification requirements, keep your mouth shut!

take it from a guy that was arrested, yes in Northern Ireland, I had not a leg to stand on and escort cooperated with police but sold me out
She told me she was independant and had all great reviews
Was told they'd be in touch but thankfully nothing yet.
I studied up on this and law in general and if caught in one of these places you won't have a chance now, your going to come out the loser.

Bestie, the case, if it gets to court may hinge on whether the gobshite who sold you out will turn up and if she does, it will be bye bye to her career as an escort on this island!
Also AFAIK, you can be named publicly under Nordie Law at a much earlier stage in the process!
