    Default Academics opinion

Every civil person wants to stop trafficking for sex, including the majority of punters.

Our recent legislation is totally inept and not fit for purpose.

If the Irish government want to protect vulnerable girls trafficked here for sex, then they should listen to the people within the industry and independent academics without any agenda, and formulate new legislation that could be effective, instead of copying laws in order to pacify the uninformed public.

If anything, the only change I've noticed since the new legislation, is a decrease in legit independent ladies and no change in the number of possible trafficked girls (€50/30mins, 24/7, basic English, all favs, <25).
