Seems someone is annoying the Dorset st residents?? Wonder could alot of these problems be sorted out if there was a tacit understanding for red light zones to be kept to the more commercial areas of a city??It seems to work in Munich pretty well.

Firstly, this is probably a storm in a tea cup. A few years back there was a similar Bru ha ha about a sex shop in Phibsboro. I can understand residents complaining if activities surrounding a sex business give rise to disturbances and impact upon quality of life. However, many of these groups are basically registering their moral disapproval of such venues as opposed to any nuisance caused. Secondly, since the purchase and sale (in many cases) of sex is now illegal not sure how you can have
so called red light zones.

There are some cheeky and nosey feckers around.
Some people just don't have a life and decide that they are going to spoil it for others.

These girls are not causing any problems at all, but staying in their own homes working.
Fair enough if they were walking the streets, pissing, drinking or doing what else, but they are not.
The ladies are being discreet and still are being harassed.

All this is only due to the older generation and the very religious folk.
I assume that this will not last too long... We all are hoping.

problem is here that they can cause as much trouble in the premises as on the streets,
I had escorts living beside me and they had no consideration for anyone, if they had it would be different but time to get real, most dont care as long as they are making money as they only there for short period

Elderly women protesting outside Moulin Rouge on Dorset Street this evening. People before Pimps reads one of the placards. There are lots of social problems in this area - drinking alcohol on the street, muggings, illegal dumping and litter, dog crap on the pavements, drug use etc. You won't see them with placards protesting about the real ugliness of Dorset Street. I don't believe the protest is motivated by religious belief or moral concern. These are unpleasant, bullying and ignorant protesters picking on an easy target. Massage parlours are not a problem.
