Unfortunately the kids are 10 steps ahead of us when it comes to computers, but I'm sure there is something, sure they all have their own laptops now. Can anybody advise us where to get software to us stop looking at porn or EI, one day it's going to be our downfall.

Internet Filter, Parental Control & Filter Software | Net Nanny

You can install with the standard settings or manually set them yourself, I'd go with the standard initially but you will have to manually tweak it when you get comfortable with the program as it will block a lot of content even if the page even mentions an individual it deems to be to explicit like Eminem or a lot of music individuals which will drive the kids mad, in turn drive you mad and you will just end up un-installing it anyway!!

K9 is free so there is no fee and parental control is very limited you would want to be standing over the childs shoulder for the whole time they are on the PC.

K9 allows you to block categories so for example peer to peer or social networking etc and also allows you to make exceptions for particular sites within that category so you can block social networking but allow bebo and you can also time limit the access.
