in future just ask for your money back as you are not going to stay, in most cases if they know they done wrong you will get it back as last thing they want is a big fuss kicked up especially if they have neighbours in adjoining apartments

Im not saying cant happen , but if escort had verified pictures , not to low price and plenty of reviews from guys who left plenty of reviews to other girls then is less likely to happen something like this. So the lady you were meant to see took the money and then another person came into the room to take the booking? How can she say that she was busy if she had time to come and take the money off you? Sounds bad anyway and at least you know to avoid that place and number from now on.
