Congratulations Slaughtneil on winning the Ulster football club championship. This year they have won Ulster senior titles in hurling, camogie and now the football too. Amazing achievement for a rural club. Well done all concerned.

Well done slaughtneil, ya thats some acheivement. Probably some players play football and hurling, what would they do if they reach the final on paddys day.

Jaysus, I never thought of that. I think that the majority are dual players, 9 I think started in the hurling final. It really is a phenomenal achievement as there are only something like 350 families in the club, no pub, I don't think that there is even a chapel there ffs. There would have been some celebrations in the club house last night and today and all week I would imagine :-)

As marty morrisey would say, there wont be a cow milked in slaughtneil this week so. I think the footballers got to the club final a few years ago.

It's wild enough country up there in the Sperrin Mountains so I don't think there would be too many cows to milk :-)

Well they were underdogs today but every dog has his day
The hurlers will be even bigger underdogs but regardless of that result or the football final result this has been an absolutely amazing year for them, fair fucks to them
