Still not finished improvements, so will be going on into tomorrow. I'm afraid they are not improvements that will make much difference to clients, they are more for escorts, so not much to look forward to for you. What terrible twosome? My beloved Ric and QPH?

I have already explained the sig stays up untill sunday at midnight because I said it will and I keep my word. I also have apologized for my outburst to NB3.

I was in the wrong and I lost my impartiallity and made a fool of myself. I have already stated this to NB3 and my sig states this too. I am only Human and it is the only improper outburst I've ever made. Please stop insisting on causing harm and kicking me while I'm down. That behaviour is counter productive.

Now I think it is time to end this silly anti-mod bashing. It is time to return to the business at hand. This fued is over so please stop.

I am respectfully asking to all those concerned to please stop this negativity. It isn't helping the boards to heal.

good idea rory. If you post a guide for beginners then sure we,ll put it as a sticky, sure why not? i,ll edit the main points to your liking as improvements are suggested. Moding is responding to the members critisisms, hence the value of this thread as a sticky. Cheers bbj

Lets see, I think they must be referring to.

1/ Moderators being "human" and starting to delete posts willy nilly

2/ Moderators being "human" and posting warning messages to escorts about someone in their signature

3/ Moderators being "human" and starting to edit posts for spelling

4/ Moderators being "human" and starting to generally go on a power trip because "they can"

And heres me thinking that moderators should be seen and not heard.

And by that I mean, moderating should only become visible when we have a Liz or Bigpaws or QPH situation where something has clearly got out of hand and frequently broken rules.

And NOT because someone says something a Mod doesnt like or criticsing the Mods, so lets move\delete the thread

But hey, if you actually published some Mod guidelines, maybe everyone would be clear

thats a great basis to start with. i,ve also noticed a common and sensible question by beginners is about the legal clarification, so i,d add a couple of paragraphs clarifying the legal ins and outs. also some advice about sim card use and security would be helpful tooo

I can see what posts are deleted and I don't see any of the mods going on deleting sprees. Regards abusive messages in sigs, yes I removed one. Editing posts for spelling is a bit unneccesary if it is being done perhaps, but it isn't malicious. Power trips I don't see either. I know West went a bit crazy, he's a great guy, but obviously modding wasn't for him, but really I don't see where any of the current mods are going wrong.

I already know Ric lost his temper with NB3 the other day. He admitted that and said he knew he did it. Are we going to crusify mods for occassional small errors of judgement like this, or are we going to give them a break? I think they certainly deserve a break, especially when they are doing so good 99% of the time, and bear in mind it is not easy being a mod here.

Isn't this just whining from a minority? Aren't the majority of people pleased we now have a few extra pairs of eyes here, watching, so when things get out of hand like personal info gets posted, it gets taken down even quicker?

Basically what you are saying is, that 2 out of 4, or 50% of your mods "went a little crazy"
People are supposed to look to mods for guidance. And when they have a "small error of judgement", it sends out a very poor message and then shit stirring starts up again

Now, you yourself are human (I think!) but you never ever lost it like they did, nor did any of your other "official" mods.

And how are they being judged on being good?
The biggest disruption was Liz and since being banned, they has been no need to do very much really, as QPH says "this modding larks easy"
And it is if you clamp down quickly on trouble
