Default If you gave somebody a future lotto wining ticket as a gift/tip?

I have never heard of this actually happening but if you gave somebody a lotto ticket which ended up winning a load of money as a gift/tip, would you expect them to buy you more than a pint? BTW I'm talking outside of the area of client/escort relationships!
Also the reverse question if somebody gave you that ticket, would you look after them?
I think 15% of the winning total with tax paid is about right e.g. if the win was €3 Million, the amount given should be €450K with the tax paid by the doner to give a clear 15%!

Methinks if you make agreement with him/her beforehand to share, have them sign the ticket too and all is tax free. Regards. Ld.

I think they would deserve a third of it if they give me the ticket for free

I couldn't give the goverment the satisfaction of getting the tax on that. The tax on that would probably add another 5% or more. Better to make them a part owner of the ticket, 1/5 of a syndicate where you were the other 4/5. It would also have the benefit of diverting some of the attention away from you if you go to collect your cheque, money shared 2 ways in the eyes of the media and general public. Come to think of it I would also make members of my family proportional syndicate members as well. Why should they have to pay tax either

I'd be ringing them and saying that I gave them the wrong ticket.
My wife caught me wearing ladies underwear and threatened to leave me.
So I packed up all her clothes
    And left.
