It has to be signed into law by Higgy first and then there is usually a date established as the starting date, which will most likely by announced publicly!

The Bill hasn't finished in the Dáil yet, it was adjourned until a further date (not sure what yet), it then has to go back to the Seanad as it's a Seanad bill for final approval if the Dáil made any amendments. After there it then goes to the President for signing. We've at least another week of freedom

Some technical changes were made and it's almost finalised. The Bill will likely become law within a couple of months. Best case scenario it won't be passed until after the summer recess.

All formal intervening periods have been over since the end of last month, it is full law now! There has, however, been no word of any arrests of punters yet!

Is it not the case that the bill was actually enacted on 22 Feb this year....

Lads for the last time, it has been passed by the Dail, received the president's signature and the lovely Minister has signed the the commencement order! it is fully enforceable law and a punter can be arrested under it! What's not to hate? It will remain so until challenged and kicked out by the courts or repealed by our Parliament!
However, oddly enough, we have not heard of the guards arresting anyone under it yet, that could change rapidly!
