If a Escort advertises her rates, why would you need to ask over the phone?? I can see where they're coming from here. On the other had, when they don't advertise their rates, then obvious they would prefer this was discussed on the phone. However if you were to encounter an escort that didn't advertise her rates and took offence to you asking her rates, I would consider that a lucky escape

I would assume that if the rates are not advertised - this can/should be discussed over the phone
and the opposite if those are advertised (i.e. don't ask in that case)
