Please don't be alarmed, nothing is happening imminently.
The proposed new law is being discussed in the parliament this week.
It is still a considerable way off, if it passed until it potentially will come into force.

From what we have observed over the course of the last months, there has not been a drop in numbers of the advertisers in NI after the new law has been introduced on 01/06/2015.

Interesting that Senior Counsel Michael Lynn would have initially supported the proposed legislation until seeing the actual evidence of its effects...

I had a look at MR. Lynn's legal advice on the matter and though I only have limited legal knowledge (mostly made up of studying commercial law as part of another couse), it is impossible to see the proposed law not being laughed out of court at some stage, though it may take time! Hopefully it will lead to the the gingerbread house of cards of similar type laws in Europe falling as well and it will if it ends up being decided in The European Court Of Human Rights!
