Apparently you can if you go to a Hickeys Pharmacy: https://www.hickeyspharmacies.ie/ser...ed-infections/

There is a service and store locator on that site that might help.
You still need to send it off though.

The once that deals just with the cancerous strain only targets two types of HPV.
Thanks GOSHH! Whats the best place to get this quadrant vaccination in Dublin? Also, in case one's found to have viral hepatitis, is there a cure for it?

HI, I think the GUIDE clinic at St James is possibly the best place in Dublin to talk about vaccinations. Or your GP.

    With regards to viral hepatitis:
Hep A - There is a vaccination but as it clears itself, there is no cure
Hep B - There is a vaccination. If you have not been vaccinated and are diagnosed, they will give you the vaccination as a Post Exposure Treatment. There is a 5-10% chance you will not be able to clear it at all but most people can.
Hep C - There is a cure. One tablet a day for 12 weeks. As 30% (ish) of people can clear the virus without any help, this cure is usually only available about a year after diagnosis if it is suspected that it is a new case.

With regards to OWO question asked in another thread:

    2) Bacteria.....wet fluid is the best place for this to live....the further down your throat it gets, the more likely it is to survive.....
    3) Parasite...just needs to touch your skin or hair
    4) Fungal...can develop without transmission but is more likely to develop if near someone else with it (inside them, etc)

Basic outline of risk for giving OWO is:
    1) All bacteria and some virals
    2) Herpes and Warts, possible bacterials if you touch with your hands before having intercourse
    3) Hep B, some virals and all bacteria
    4) Broken heart!

Whatever you do there is a risk, life is risky, all these risks are theoretcial and dependent on two things....
    1) the person you are doing it with actually has something you might contract
    2) the something that person has, manages to transmit itself to you

For example, just because you have sex with someone who is living with HIV it doesnt mean you will contract and develop HIV.
It comes down to behaviour, communication and a huge dollop of luck.

Test regularly and if you have something it can be dealt with.

    Hope that answers your question.

To add to this, the basic outline of risk for receiving OWO is:

    1) All bacteria and some virals
    2) Herpes and Warts, possible bacterials if you touch with your hands before having intercourse

Cork has two places i know of for testing:
    - The South Infirmary Victoria Hospital: http://www.sivuh.ie/
    - The Sexual Health Centre: http://www.sexualhealthcentre.com/

It is possible there are GP practices who provide screening but if you want that information i would suggest you contact The Sexual Health Centre, as they are local and might know of places to recommend.
