Devils advocate here, but the way there's certain rules around people in positions of power having 'sexual relations' with those under them, was that ever mentioned at the time?

I was about 11 at the time it broke in 1998 so don't know what the general feeling was at the time.

It's not the sex I'm referring to, the man's the leader of the free world, he should get a free pass to as much poontang as he can handle. It's the fucking lying. Instead he made the lamest and most implausible denial I've ever seen. Referring to her as 'that woman' was the icing on the cake.

He's now become a case study in lying.
