Of course you can. If it wasn't well known that the majority of punters will pay and stay anyway there'd be no market for scamming

Sit and blame all round you but every one of you that has paid for a bait and switch just ensures that it'll keep on happening, because you show them that ultimately profile accuracy doesn't matter.

How many people in this thread alone have said they've stayed for a bait and switch? How many say the same in the similar threads every other week?

The number of times I've read "it wasn't her in the pics by a mile, but I was so horny and drove 30 minutes so what am I supposed to do??" followed by "omg why so many fakes?"

Not in this country.

Many years ago, I was in a hotel in a foreign city, and I arranged an outcall for three hours.

When she arrived, I don't know which of us was more surprised/dismayed. I had met her about two weeks previously in a different city (and country). The relevance to this thread was that her profile was completely different and the photographs had been artfully differentiated - although the photographs were all definitely of her.

The reason for the dismay (on my part) was that the earlier meeting had been very so so. Very little effort on her part and no attempt at "connection".

Whether she was in a different mood or whatever, she made an implicit apology about the lack of connectness on our previous meeting and as we mellowed, we actually had a really good time (or at least, I had!!!!!).

She "explained" that the reason for the different profile and the differentiated photographs was that she was now in her native country and did not want to be immediately recognisable.

Although that encounter did work out ok, it has made me wary about organising outcalls with someone you haven't met before - although usually you get enough cues from a bit of a telephone conversation and proper reading of their profile.

It is not that easy to "walk away" from an encounter in your hotel room.
