I wasn't punting when I was there, but the scenery (female and landmarks) is fucking amazing. And it's a big student city with a huge yank Uni so you'll be in good company. It's a nicer city all round than Sofia imo.

Just don't get the train. The bus is quicker since the BDZ is a bit crap.
