Email address taken

Hi all i cant understand it as some of you know i am not that well up on how to work the net but i replyed to a friend last night and all was fine i went to reply to another person today and it keeps saying your email address has already been taken please can any one tell me what this means please thankyou

Hi Melinda
Not the best at tech myself but it sounds like "this username is already taken".
Could it be you are opening a new account instead of logging in ?
Hope that makes sense and helps.

Hi Wolverine to be honest with you i dont have a clue i am useing chrome and it had asked me do i want my details saved and i said yes so i would automaticly be logged it but it keeps saying the address has already been taken x x

Sounds like you're making a new email account

yes its gmail it said re enter your email address but when i do it still says the same x x

If I were you I'd turn off your device, turn it on again and then try again.
In my google page there's a gmail option on the top left of the screen. That's how I get into mine.
Sorry , I'm rubbish at this.

just close the browser down and start to login afresh again

That happens me all the time melinda when i mistakenly choose sign up instead of sign in, just double check to be sure
