Insightful commentary from Rachel Maddow, which speaks to your point, I think. Sorry to Cassandra, this is a diversion from the op!

Despite Lu's best efforts to gather feedback and pass it on, the Dev Team continue to stumble from one untested bad idea to another.

Until the last few days I found it usable on my phone when I selected Desktop Mode. It now seems to revert to the mobile site every few clicks, making it pretty much unusable on my phone.

I am still using the old desktop mode with no problem.
The new mobile version is manageable too, maybe takes just marginally longer to load.

Guess I can't tell you how to decorate your house or Dunnes Stores how to paint their walls either.

    C'est la vie!

Which phone do you have? My Samsung Note (Android) will not stay in desktop mode on the site.

I am currently looking into the site on two cheap Alcatel (what else?) phones(only one of which has a username attached btw), no problem with either.
Just had a look on an old Samsung(Galaxy Fame) phone I happen to have beside me and the site won't download on to it.
