You simply dont know what they are going to do with your number, "good" punters get passed around, hell, a worm on your phone or laptop can extract everything on it and control your webcam if they want.

and in this day and age do you really think you cannot spoof your mobile number in the same way you can an ip address?
    the tools are out there..

sorry but time wasters are an unfortunate fact of life for sex workers in the same way bad\late payers are in the business world or unsolicited fishing calls from double glazing companies

build your good client list is the a good way to go as Im sure you have

Sorry but that did make me laugh. I'm retiring next Spring! I rarely see new people any more, but I'm finding that when I do answer the phone to numbers I don't know more often than not they are not real clients at all. I hear so much about the 3 types of people I quoted in the first post and it is getting worse and worse. Why is this problem getting worse? Why do these people think it is okay to do so? I don't bother with reviews any more so rarely get them, so can't see why a pimp would target me or another sex worker for that matter. I seriously feel that the people making these daft calls just have nothing better to do with themselves. They need a kick up the bum, or zapping!!! Or maybe water sprayed, who knows.

To say that it's a fact of life for sex workers, is actually just shrugging your shoulders and saying 'deal with it'. We are so unprotected it's ridiculous. They only get away with it because we don't have any recall and if you guys think we might keep numbers you get all fidgety and defensive.

It's soooooo childish!!!! I know men never grow up but it's akin to pressing someone's door bell and running off. Then people double book and you guys get upset. (see above post)

I'm also a bit concerned that people are still replying to the OP like I meant it after I explained my thoughts on the PSNI and their efficiency. The zapper gun idea was more close to what I would really like. I'd love to hear a little yelp on the other side of the phone when a repeat offender tries to book me again. hehe

I had 2 in Dublin when I worked in D9. It had never happened to me before, so I was kind of shocked.

First one. A load of texts telling me how excited he was and what was I going to wear, etc, etc. Then he arrives and he sits down on the bed and gives me a sob story about not being able to do it to his wife. The way he was texting before that was not the problem. Checked on him later and he had form.

Second scenario. Comes in and apologises that he left his wallet in his car. He tried to give me 30e and said he would give me the rest after the booking. I told him to go get all of the money and then we could have the booking. He never came back.

I was confused as I had been working for 3 years prior to this, but most in England. This was my 2nd time in Ireland. Ireland shocked me for the amount of time wasters, game players and how many were asking to BB. I had never experienced anything like it.

It takes a long time to get used to the way clients behave in Ireland. Thankfully there are much less asking for BB in Northern Ireland but we get our fair share of silly people too.

So... sine you have never been a sex worker I would suggest that your comment is based on a thought and not fact and it is incorrect.

These people have not purchased sex, so they can not be arrested, but it would be good for them to have a record of repeat offenders and then if they are ever caught in the act they have the proof that they knew what they were doing and can be convicted.

It might make clients (or not as the case may be) think twice before wasting people's time and playing silly buggers.

What do you think? Good idea?
It would help out immensely when the dicks on the hill introduce fixed penalties for punters being caught on. Once they know where you work from the peelers can camp outside handing out tickets to every smiling man seen leaving the area. And it'll be a case of pay the £X on the fixed penalty now and it goes away, or take it to court (where without the escorts testimony you'll get off anyway) and have your face in the News Letter under the headline 'Disgusting sex pervert caught by valiant PSNI heroes who rescued the damsel in distress'

In a perfect decriminalised world you'd like to think punters and escorts could relay on the peelers for support should anything untoward happen either way, I fear with the new law I've got into the punting game too late to safely enjoy it.

I'm a regular lurker on a couple of sex worker related subreddits where 99% of the contributors are escorts and punters from the USA. It seems the standard there for a n00b punter is to be 'screened' my means of providing ID, photo, and employer details so they can call to confirm you work there (and are not a cop). If that was to become standard here, I'm out. I totally understand the need for security, but the number of novice punters going through that, making the appointment, handing over the money then being told to fuck off and you can't even leave a review saying as much on P411 or TER because they have your home address and employer info.

Criminalisation fucks over everybody. Remember who was for it next election cycle.

Your timing wasn't great to be fair lol. It's a good point that you make reference what the guys in America have to disclose in order to get a booking. You don't realise how lucky you are over here and it's abused so badly.

Decriminilization would certainly help this. If more Sex workers were able to work together without worry, there would be less 'look & goes' as they would be worried of being out numbered. The time wasters would give themselves away when 2 girls working together both get called by them (this happens). If only the politicians were more about solutions and not brown nosing.

Wouldn't work could lead to blackmail and how would they know its a legit complaint and not someone being a dick.

The people get the government they deserve. Gotta keep "them 'uns" out remember. When you have parties such as the Green Party who are all for decriminalisation but they'll never get the votes because they're not one of the big two - and god forbid people vote for who they want versus who they want to keep out.

Maybe I will take work up on the offer of a transfer to one of the English or Scottish locations sooner rather than later..... but then there'd be too many English or Scottish people to contend with
