There's a friend of mine running for Ireland in the 1500m, am sure you'll have heard or will have heard of her over the next few weeks.
She's an amazing athlete but this is first time she'll really be competing at top class (Iaaf didn't deem it a good idea to let her run in London, instead 4 years later give her an even more expensive trip & run in a climate she's not used to).

When was junior she was the only European to split the Africans (she came 2nd world junior championships).
She then lost 4 years on & off due to injury.

She got bronze there at the euro games a few weeks ago, but that was a very slow race.
If the olympics races are too fast she'll struggle, but if it's a fair pace she's quietly confident of a podium. 4 years time expectations will be even higher. She is a powerful talent. Any time I've seen her run she really puts on an entertaining & exciting race.

I was delighted to see her winning Bronze and she was unlucky not to get silver.

I think she will be up against it at the Olympics as you wont get many slow run races

especially when it comes to semi final and final but hope I am wrong.

No, No Blue Rebel, you have that all wrong, the jockey knew nothing about that incident, the horse took the drugs himself...

10,000 years of Middle Eastern civilisation and the place is not at peace but rather in pieces.
