The article you linked shows that cannabis may have have some effect against cancer cells in the laboratory(so called in - vitro) and there may be some anti cancer effects in limited animal studies, not much evidence of anything yet in humans. Long term smoking of anything will probably raise the chances of developing lung cancer.
The main, proven medical uses of marijuana are for the relief of chronic, intractable pain in advanced cases of multiple sclerosis and in certain patients with terminal cancers, where it can provide pain relief.

As I said in a previous thread nothing wrong with Alcohol or drugs , it is the person
taking them that are usually the problem as they cant handle them.
