Geothermal heating seems to be the thing now. However, they say you need to keep the heat on all the time, not a bad thing, but if the house is empty during the day you cannot switch it off because it would take a long time to heat up again.
Infrared, on the other hand, should heat up fairly quickly

Cheap to buy and install but as for consuming I guess is the same like any other electrical options.
They say that is consumes less but I don't believe it

They say it heats up pretty fast up to 20-30 minutes and they come with a thermostat for every room

That stuff isn't infrared........it is regular electric type element (low wattage) but laid flat to enable installation
Installed huge amounts of it years ago
Its generally slabbed over with plasterboard

Ive worked on a job where we suggested to the client to take them down. Over the years they fixed some paintings on the wall and in some areas shelves. The builder didnt give a shit and drilled straight through them.
If he checked the clients construction details he would have spotted this.
The client decided to go with our recommendation and bring in a contractor to pull the plaster of the wall and insulate the walls with higher u value insulation. Also installed geothermal heating and seemed happy with the outcome.
By the way im not trying to put you off just something to think about.
