I always like to ask for a shower, saves any confusion, once I hand over the cash I usually ask can I take a quick shower before we start, don't be afraid to ask for one before you leave too, ok for the single guys but not for the attached, on my second shower i usually use very little soap, partners know when it's not the usual soap smell, a few times I've said I'd borrowed deodorant from someone.
