It might make the car look more faster it is hence more prone to be stolen.
Remember any excuse to add more

Might count as a modification, particularly a possible performance modification like a spoiler bumps premiums, you're right to declare it though as if you didn't and had a claim later you could have an issue

It might suggest that you are a boy racer, with a need for speed.
You'llhave to tell them, they're wrong about the first part anyway

As above, better they know about it anyway as if there ever were a crash they can use nondisclosure of minor things to weasel their way out of a claim.
They will have risk factors that influence the rate of premiums, the spoiler may suggest someone who likes to drive fast and when combined
with a relatively young age will up the premiums. Partly a way to extract more money for them but they also see it as increased cover on risk for them. They were talking, about making less distinction between young male and young female drivers a while back as well.

Insurance companies don't like any modifications to the factory car. I once bought a Car, that had tinted back windows. I had to remove the dark coloured film that was stuck to the windows before they would insure me. #paininthebollocks

Having said that they were never going to check if it was done or not, but if you ever had a accident, the insurance would be void.

Ooh my. Naughty in more ways than one I see

But ya, any modifications whatsoever than could potentially alter the cars performance must be divulged to the insurance company, cos heaven forbid you needed to make a claim and you didn't tell them about something, they'd use that against you in an instant.

    And mini-skirts as well

I,d say if you have any mods on the car , you better let them know.
Problem is , all ok until you have a crash , when any excuse to not pay out.
Other option is to buy an ordinary car ( I know too late )
Make sure you have the right tyre,s too , because they can blame them if they are not right and reduce the payout ( worn tyre,s included )

Had to buy your own pimpmobile. Ehhh

They now think you're a girl racer going to be mowing down people's grannies on their way to collect their pensions.
