Is there a way to stop it permanently?

Already one computer is jammed when I tried to stop windows being installed

And is there any shop that you would trust to fix it?

    Shalom/salaam.
10,000 years of Middle Eastern civilisation and the place is not at peace but rather in pieces.

But you should download a driver pack for your make and model of pc first . Have that as a back up as some of 10's drivers have not worked for me . When updated , get the latest 10 drivers for any printers and devices you have .

I'm starting to sound like Yamser
if you dont have a tablet theres not much point having anything more than windows 7
    - 8 was a step towards tablet usability
    - 10 is another step closer (that was the intention at least )

but if you dont have one not much point in upgrading from 7

Linux is not exactly for the computer illiterate.
Especially if you are accustomed to the convenience of windows.
But, I take your point. Open source and free.
