Question for the old heads
Have the boards gotten progressively more vulgar and base? Have the halcyon days been spent?
I wouldn't have been a poster back at the end of the last decade but I use to read the threads a lot. There were some interesting discussions back then, some brilliant characters too.
Last time I was active on these boards the place seemed to be experiencing an epidemic of posters posting porn gifs. I'm not sure when the clientele decided that this would be the best approach for drawing female contributors to the boards but I'm glad I missed the memo.
To be fair I've gotten a few years older with all this reading and my tastes and tolerances are different. Maybe that's why I think the place is a poor shadow of what it was
