Default Should the 'Australian Open' be cancelled?

With the amount of bushfires in Australia, the smoke is causing so much controversy.
Many tennis players have had problems due to the smoke that surrounds the city, some have even had to drop out due to have breathing problems.

In this one case alone, Dalila Jakupovic had to retire from the competition as she stated: was "really scared" because of the "unhealthy" air quality from ongoing bushfires in the country.

If people are advised to stay in doors, why was the competition allow to continue?
Do you think that the competition was right to continue, cancelled or if possible, to be played indoors?
This would go for most activities.

Of course life still need to go on but with the fires and smoke around the country, the health of the people is very important.

As from this tweet, there you can see the air quality in many places around Melbourne is quite unsafe to breath in.

I doubt many people's minds want to be on a game of tennis either.
Like we have all seen the pictures which are awful to even look at, but they are living and literally breathing it.
I love my sport but I doubt any of the fans or competitors themselves would of kicked up a fuss if it was canceled.
Just my idea of priorities I suppose
Take it slow, and let the good times roll

Well if it’s affecting the players and people are being advised to stay in doors then ya a good case of canceling then.
But too much money and it being the first major , then they haven’t a hope, money talks
Sadly in a few years time people will only remember the winners and will have forgotten about the fires
