The most important source of intelligence the authorities have, even in Sweden on the suspected or actual abuse of sex workers, is the punter, regardless of the legal situation a punter is in, if you genuinely suspect such abuse is happening, you must walk away from the encounter and report it, confidentially to the authorities!

The problem here is how do you know for sure, you need to be 100% certain or else you could be getting escorts into unnecessary trouble who then face a prison term and deportation themselves because of your actions.
When the new law is in, most guys won't bother as now will in reality be criminals themselves in the eyes of the law.

If raids are taking place to rescue trafficked and under-age escorts, I say why don't they do more raids.
Personally, I would report under-age activity if I came across it, but I stay well away from escorts that look under 25. So it could be said that I'm leaving them to the rapists, but I do know how difficult it is to judge the age of a minor from carding them for cigarettes. And you can't exactly card an escort, can you.

That's if you go as far as seeing her, but the careing client will have read the signs and not put themselves in that position. Also if such an escort is being controlled, I think that their handlers would be screening clients and maybe only introducing her to clients that don't care.
Also I have past experience of under-age girls that were consentingly, promiscuous for reward. For example, when I went to school, there was one girl that would do a favour for 5 cigarettes. She'd also smoke one before and after, so your 10 box was gone in 10 minutes. I was under-age myself at the time but I do know she was seeing guys in their 20's that would not have known that she was a schoolgirl. This was in a small town and there was no one controlling her. She still lives there and we are still friends, but she could have a change of mind and make a report to the Gardai at any time and they would have to investigate.

That is where legalising it comes into effect but others say to legalise it would drive things further underground.

Maybe legalise it all and anyone going to a non legalised place scoop them up.

I really do not know what the answer is but something needs to be done to stop young teens being raped for profit.

What is needed is a narrow set of laws that clearly define what is a criminal offence rather than a scatter-gun, that targets consensual sex, limited by available resources.
