I've googled it and spoken to Ikea (and although they are aware it's an ongoing issue) no one can help me get these damn pegs out.....

    I've tried:

    Shimming the pegs with pliers
    WD40
Drilling a nail into them and using the claw of the hammer to attempt to pull them out
    Drilling them out.....

    NOTHING IS FUCKING WORKING!!!

I'm pretty much sat here in tears with a shitty half dismantled unit that I'm about to set alight....

    Any ideas?????

I have bought and assembled Ikea furniture in the past. The one thing I like about it is that it is sturdy and robust compared to the likes of the old MFI flat pack stuff.

Personally I would not be very happy if it was easy to disassemble because if it was then it would probably not be as sturdy as it is. If I need to move the furniture then I move it fully assembled, as I would with any other piece of furniture I have.

Timber based products are not normally designed to be taken apart and reassembled multiple times as they often rely on an interference fit to retain their rigidity.
