Hmm that's not a bad idea. I think we
would continue to bring wine because just from a social encounter perspective that's what we are used to doing. Maybe this is more of an American thing but if you are visiting someone for an extended amount of time (or coming for a social event) bringing a bottle of wine is kind of standard. Its the same here, if your visiting someone socially you take a bottle of wine / chocs etc depending. Its up to the host if they share.
