Arrow Man receives penis transplant — would you go through with such an operation?

Thomas Manning, 64, received the donated organ three years after his penis was amputated due to penile cancer. He is the third man worldwide to have had the experimental surgery performed.

He is is expected to regain normal urination and sexual function in the next few months.

If you had your penis amputated for whatever reason would you go through and have a donor penis transplant? I have no idea how I would cope if I had mine amputated — there are many aspects of life to consider.

    • General urination functions
    • Sexual pleasures
    • Looking at and handling someone else's penis
    • What would women think of it
    • Would it work and feel like your own

I'm sure I'd rather have a penis than not have one — but I don't know how I'd feel handling someone else's penis even if it was attached to me. Sure, it is just a body part! Women don't have a problem touching ours so what's the big deal? Perhaps the transplanted penis might be bigger than the amputated one. That would have to be a plus for many of us — I know I'd like that aspect. But would women frown on that the way some guys disapprove of enhanced breasts?

There is a psychological issue for men touching another mans penis.

In 2006 a Chinese man who received the world's first penis transplant decided after two weeks to reverse the transplant. Doctors removed the donated penis following a "severe psychological problem" experienced by him and his wife.

So guys — would you do it? Also ladies, how would you feel meeting a guy who had a transplanted penis?

Yeah , if for some reason I lost my own.
The way I see it is once its attached to me its mine.
Definitely better than having none. That would be a living nightmare !

That is sort of how I see it as well — but it's all very well to think that way as I have my own but I don't know how I'd feel if I looked down and saw a different one. Chances are it would be a better one that what I have now but even that might not be enough for me to accept it — it could make it worse as it was so different to mine

I get what your saying. Could be worse if you were married.
If your wife liked it it could mess with your head (wasn't she happy before ?) and if she didn't more problems

Was reading about John Bobbitt who wife cut off his penis and threw it out the window, where their Jack Russell then ran off with it,

Maybe that where they got the phrase 'Happy as a dog with two cocks' from

Fair point — that could really mess with ones head!

As is mentioned in that article the first person to have such a transplant had it reversed due to "severe psychological problem experienced by him and his wife"

ATEOTD I can imagine there being some issues for married couples or even those in a relationship. I can't see escorts having an issue — after all they couldn't really care less what's attached to us once it's clean and hygienic LOL They will tell us it looks great and it is so big no matter what it looks like
