Now there's double standards, if ever there was.
Of coarse they will suspend her. Sack her more than likely.

Anyway..... My grip on reality is very strong thank you very much.

As far as I know it is ok for a Garda to do whatever her or she likes as long as it isn't breaking the law. Currently working as an escort is not illegal in Ireland. Other aspects of the industry are, such as working in pairs which constitutes a brothel but it is not against the law for anyone to work as an escort in Ireland.

Jesus did indeed weep, and wasn't it a prostitute who wiped away his tears with her hair?.... (Kinky)

If and I say IF this story is true, it actually supports the argument that most escorts are not trafficked. This Garda is Irish and she is escorting to earn extra money willingly in her own country.
Whether he is a troll are not he is right.
How you can think it is ok to work as a escort in ireland while working as a guard at the same time is beyond me.
she will get the sack if the story is true.

What is wrong with her working as an escort? I am not being smart with you and i do understand that she may indeed loose her Garda job. My point is why? What is wrong with working as an escort? She isn't breaking the law. If she were sleeping around at the weekends would she loose her job over that?

Escorts are not criminals. In some jurisdictions it is regarded as legitimate work.

I would just like to see the logic that would explain why she would loose her job. On what basis would she be fired? She isn't breaking the law. She is doing nothing wrong...... Or do you all think that all escorts should not be doing what they do?

Unless we challenge perceptions they will never change.

It seems to me the escorts are regarded as either forced into it against their will or are criminals.

    Thanks for your comment.

Contractually she would have a clause in her contract that she keep of good reputation or something similar, but personally I see nothing wrong with a Garda working as an escort when off duty. There's a couple of Gardai locally here that I'd queue up to see.
My wife caught me wearing ladies underwear and threatened to leave me.
So I packed up all her clothes
    And left.

Fair points made there. Then we get into a debate about what is or isn't a good reputation. She could have a worse reputation for getting drunk at the weekends than for quietly offering time and companionship. She could have a great reputation as an escort.... In fact she could have a great reputation as a garda!

It would be interesting if she were fired and took a case for unfair dismissal, to see what would happen. The judge could be a client!

    Thanks is for the comment.

Somebody obviously was getting there way with her and decided to report her !! Little to be doing ffs and poor woman could have been struggling with bills etc !! If she is sacked hope she makes it big fair play to her !!

    Their lies in the problem
If she got laid all weekend and let 5 or 6 lads ride her every day she is not breaking the law and her bosses can do sfa ,
So now she lets 6 guys ride her and they give her a few euros , she's not breaking the law but her bosses can now sack her

If there is any truth in the story bearing in mind that it appeared in The Sun then I'm sure that she would not be working as an escort while also working as a guard at the same time — I'm sure the escorting would take place when she is off duty and in her spare time!

Because there is more than likely a clause in her contract like Philip said.
I'm not taking the piss here and like a debate.
You cant have a officer of the law working as a escort.

Look at it this way, Gardi testify in court based on there cases and arrests they have to.
What if she was involved in a sting on a brothel and had to testify in court.
What is to stop the defendants using her other job as a escort against her so they can get of like she only arrested me cause i was competition in her area.
The prosecutions case would fall apart and they would lose the case.
