In more than 20 years of visiting escorts I've never experienced this. There's been a few times that I showed up from work in need of a shower, but I've never been refused any service once washed properly.

I have been refused as well and i be spotless as takes me two hours getting ready to see an escorts, always keep a nice haircut, nails done in salon, wax and trim, sometimes use fake tan, shower before i go and there at her place but then again i like to look good and do the same when going out on a Saturday night to a club.
There will be some guys who are unclean but most of us clients do take pride in our appearance and make a big effort when seeing an escort
