    I think its because I sound foreign, sometimes the lady will ask me to speak slower and speak English.

    In the past when talking with a woman from say eastern europe (great woman of course)

    They would sometimes say i dont sound from the place i am from. I must have picked up some partial foreign accent in my voice, but only non irish woman have noticed it. So i have heard that line where are you from baby a few times.
