    Default Hurling 2016

With the National League now reaching a conclusion it is time to start this thread.

Kilkenny Cody will not have lost any sleep over the semi final defeat however it shows a lack of depth in the squad. No team is unbeatable.

Clare Yet to lose a match this year. Impressive in semi final win. Going in the right direction again. Cusack a big addition to the management team.

Waterford Trying to mix the defensive and offensive together seamlessly. Work in progress.

Tipperary If they could get Bonner Maher scoring then they would be a very hard team to stop.

Limerick Need more consistent performances. Confidence when events go wrong seems to be an issue as well.

Galway Relegated from top division. Players would seem to be under pressure now given what happened last winter.

Cork Avoided relegation from top division. Lack of success at underage level coming back to haunt now.

Wexford The progress of 2014 seems to have disappeared. 2 under 21 All Ireland final appearances may give hope.

Offaly Rebuilding with a good manager. Will probably take time.

The success story of the league has been Kerry. Not a surprise though as they were Christy Ring champions last year and have been in a number of under 21 B All Ireland finals. They seem to be building on that progress.

League Final is Clare v Waterford which should be an interesting match.

    Thanks Ketchup.

I think many people were delighted that Kilkenny took a beating last Sunday. However with Michael Fennelly, Paul Murphy, Colin Fennelly and Eoin Larkin to return it would be foolish to write them off yet. I am sure that Cody is thinking about revenge at this very moment.

Yes June 5th is the big day for both Clare and Waterford. Could be a long summer for both.

Ya come sept Kilkenny will be there again and I think that Clare as you said good management team now in place, are the team that are most likely to dethrone them.

Would not be writing off Kilkenny just yet. As for Limerick being strong I don't think so. Their own supporters have little faith at this stage in their manager. He is hanging on. Will be replaced at the end of the championship.

League final this Sunday. Clare V Waterford.

Should be an interesting match. Both sides have not too many league titles to be dismissing winning it. Waterford strolled past Limerick in the second half of their semi final. Clare looked impressive against Kilkenny. Plenty of work still to do however. It should be a tight close match with little between the teams and probably Clare to lift the trophy.

It was a close exciting last 45 minutes. The first half was shadow boxing. Then both sides decided they were not giving an inch. Clare's equaliser in normal time from Conor McGrath was an excellent point as was Maurice Shanahan's to take it to the replay.

Not sure about Kelly's shot would have to watch it again. Hawkeye in Thurles starts with the Cork V Tipperary Munster championship game later this month.
Not surprised Westmeath won they have been slowly building for a number of years. Offaly need to start at underage and build from there.
Kerry will always have a good chance against the teams in that section however the big test will come if they win that section.
