Not sure about the STI, but the pc stuff was quoted in the papers and was the initial investigation.
Had to laugh at fa taking back his caps for England, what a silly thing to put in the papers given the terrible things he did.

He was found not guilty of the oral sex charge.
He was found guilty of grooming and of fondling her under her knickers. I am not playing this down but I do think his sentence was an indication of the judge’s disgust and disapproval of his lifestyle and behaviour, which the judge ought not to have taken into consideration.

Can't really justify what he done but he has had the book well and truely hurled in his direction. The BBC news last night laid into him big time and you would be forgiven for thinking he was as bad or worse than the war criminal and terrorist bombers whom he shared the headlines with. Not familiar with the case of the teacher but if what you say is true it certainly indicates double standards. It probably warranted a custodial sentence but I feel the judge got taken in by the general hysteria whipped up in the media and was too severe.

i would have given him four with two suspended. i think the judge was thinking about his own job security (the judges) when handing down the sentence. if he only gave two years or so there would have been uproar from the mob.
