It maybe a number of issues. 1. you may have to contact Three to ENABLE this service. 2. if you are prepay the service may not be allowed.

    Basically, contact Three...

    Hope this helps.

I use this allllllllll the time, its my main means of internet when working. one of my networks is 3 and other 087 you just need to switch it on on your phone, then go to internet connections on your laptop and it will ask you for the password which you will find on your phone in settings, enter this and away you go, it will remember this and connect you automatically the next time you turn on your hotspot.p
I can have up to 10 devices teathering off my 087 number.

Some people have to have the last word,
but they don't actually want you to stop talking,
as they like the sound of their own voices too much.

no both are prepay , its really is just a case of turning on wifi hotspot/mobile hotspot on your phone and then picking it up on your device that you want to use and enter the password that you will find on your phone settings. I have been using it for years

You should be able to hotspot with 3, I know it's against their terms of service but most people do it (myself included) However I know that certain phones that 3 sell do not have an option to hotspot so if you bought a new one from them that may be why.

Otherwise you should be able to

I tried it with three and was restricted, seems they can track it as laptop and phone work on different system, can you use a mobile phone sim in an unlocked data dongle and plug into usb port of laptop as never tried that
