So who should we vote for
As it goes picking any of the scaly wags for this election will mean positives and negatives for everything and anything... One thing that actually matters here - who should we vote for with the best chance of disputing and washing away this law??? Is there a simple answer? Clearly I don't know much about politics...
Fwiw, the following are running for election and would be pro SW rights so worth following tpo see if they get elected : Clare Daly ,Mick Wallace , John Halligan , Richard Boyd Barrett , Joan Collins all independent.
Brid Smith (PBP) AnneMarie McNally,James Heffernan,Glenna Lynch,Gary Gannon (Soc Dem)
Leo V (FG) , Michael McNamara (Lab) Carol Hunt (Renua)
Im sure there are others but they're candidates that have expressed legal rights rather than criminalisation policies.
The only way that the law would be averted is if FG get in and Leo V becomes MoJ .Other than that,law comes in and then the fight via the courts kicks in.
If you can vote in Dublin Mid-West vote for a candidate who might knock out the MOJ. Sadly Ivan Yates seems to think she is assured of a seat.

Dont think so - as far as i know ,she was strongly anti SW rights awhile back though she did oppose the Sexual Offences Bill being rushed through pre Dail break up . Paul Murphy definitely pro-TORL ,
,remembering his support for the EndDemand hashtag. Pity he couldn't be arsed actually talking to the SW movement about their grave objections to that type of policy never mind do his research regarding the non-disclosure by TORL of so many negative Swedish police reports.

I don't know about our 2 Green TDs, though South County Dublin tends to be a bit on The Liberal Side, but Greens all over Europe are usually supportive of sex workers and the rights of consenting adults to engage with each other in private.
On this issue at least Alan Shatter is a loss!

Great to see O'Riordain gone, But Finian McGrath is back in the same constituency and while Donegal got rid Of McLoghlainn, it sent Pringle (who introduced his own sex worker hating bill) back!
Mullen might lose his seat in the senate as Alice Mary Higgins (the wee one's daughter) is running on the same panel!
Hopefully nut bot likely The Batty Chick might lose her seat in the senate, noticeably she didn't chance going before the reall public in this General Election, of course she got her answer last time out, when The Labour Party could have got an actual sheep elected and indeed got several of them into Leinster House temporarily!
