    Default Vote No. 1

Interesting chap running for office in Dublin...

General Election candidate reveals he starred in two porn films 'but wasn't very good'
    1/28

    Irish Independent

A candidate who is looking for a number one vote in today's General Election has revealed he starred in two porn films in the eighties.

Independent candidate William DJ Gorman revealed his former escapades in his canvassing leaflet, but admitted he "wasn't very good in them".

The outspoken candidate said he released his tell-all election leaflet to combat 'lies' that were circulating about his background.

He said he does not have a desire "to make his private life public", but said voters have a right to know the person standing for office.

Mr Gorman's leaflet has 12 pages of text in which he reveals he was sexually abused as a child and is part of a BDSM group and has slept with over 3,000 people.

He also claims he saved the lives of two IRA men in the 1980s by discovering bombs under their cars.

The candidate is running in both Dublin Bay South and Dublin Central and is campaigning for a united Ireland, tougher bail laws and to stem the flow of migrants into the EU.

His motto is 'Forward Looking, Forward Thinking, Forward Planning'.

About his colourful past, he wrote: "I did take part in 2 porn films in 1985/1986.

"I am bisexual. I am a member of a group that supports BDSM.

"I have since the age of 18 years of age to date, I have had sex with 3,000+ people, having sex 4/5 times per week all safe sex."

He also claimed he knows members of different political parties who have copies of the adult film.

"Even after 30 years... I don't think I was any good in them," he added.

He concluded his piece: "You now know more about me than any other candidate in this or any other General Election."

Mr Gorman told the Irish Daily Star he ran in the General Election in 1997 and received 99 votes.

"Looking at the polls this time I think I will be lucky to get as many as two votes this time," he told the newspaper.

"But even if just one person votes for me because of my honesty then I will be genuinely delighted with that."

That ability will be very useful to him as a politician.

As I said, that ability will be very useful to him as a politician.

The ability to lie through his teeth I meant.

Again I applaud him. I don't like murderers.

"and is campaigning for a united Ireland"

I'm sick of this shit, have this muppets & SF never heard of Good Friday Agreement?

    A multi-party agreement by most of Northern Ireland's political parties;
an international agreement between the British and Irish governments (the British-Irish Agreement).

The Agreement was made between the British and Irish governments and eight political parties or groupings from Northern Ireland: the Ulster Unionist Party, the Social Democratic and Labour Party, Sinn Féin, the Alliance Party, the Progressive Unionist Party, the Northern Ireland Women’s Coalition, the Ulster Democratic Party and Labour.

    The Agreement acknowledged:
    that the majority of the people of Northern Ireland wished to remain a part of the United Kingdom;
that a substantial section of the people of Northern Ireland, and the majority of the people of the island of Ireland, wished to bring about a united Ireland.
Both of these views were acknowledged as being legitimate.

Can I ask what you're sick off IDF ?
Are you just anti-Sinn Fein ?
I lived through the shite that was called the troubles north of the border.
I have always hoped & believed that I would live long enough to see a united Ireland .
I am Irish, I am an Irishman but I continue to live under parliament in London .
If you had lived in my shoes & the shit the brits put us through you might have a different opinion .

I'll tell you what will happen in a united Ireland with our system of proportional representation, all the unionists will vote together and get into ever all Ireland government.

"Can I ask what you're sick off IDF ? "

I'm sick of the likes of SF and muppets like the above saying they are running for election on a platform for a united Ireland when there are provisions & mechanisms in place for this to happen already. Do they want to sour relations with the unionists and the British government to make this goal even harder?

SF say that if they get elected they want automatically any elected MPs to have a seat in the Dail and have speaking rights for example. Do you think any Unionist would be happy with that or take their seat in the Dail? Again sectarian bulshit desined to provoke or they are just fools.

No I respect the political wing of the PIRA under Gerry Adams moving away from violence and winning over the majority in that organisation.

Just a pity they have not done it completely and more honesty about the past is not more forthcoming.

Different perspectives & I would have a less tolerant view if I was being oppressed.

Well I'll put it this way IDF , when the Good Friday Agreement was signed Paisley was still shouting NEVER & a few years later Martin McGuinness & himself were the Chuckle Brothers . SF have proved that they are willing to & do work with the Unionist parties in the North when they are allowed to do so. If I do ever live to see a United Ireland I would probably expect that there would be some sort of devolved assembly in the North as now but Dublin being the main government chambers - a federal Ireland if you like. I never wanna see the shite I grew up through ever happening again but I believe a lot has been achieved in recent years regarding Unionist/loyalist & Nationalist/Republican relations & the fact that the Chuckle Brothers ever happened is testimony to that.

But surely 100 years ago the likes of Connolly were idealits with a socialist agenda.
Any party that has resembled "left wing" workers party or labour got sucked in with the 2 parties that are remnants of the Civil War but neither could ever be called socialist . Perhaps it's time there was a socialist alternative for voters ?
