    Default Vote No. 1

Interesting chap running for office in Dublin...

General Election candidate reveals he starred in two porn films 'but wasn't very good'
    1/28

    Irish Independent

A candidate who is looking for a number one vote in today's General Election has revealed he starred in two porn films in the eighties.

Independent candidate William DJ Gorman revealed his former escapades in his canvassing leaflet, but admitted he "wasn't very good in them".

The outspoken candidate said he released his tell-all election leaflet to combat 'lies' that were circulating about his background.

He said he does not have a desire "to make his private life public", but said voters have a right to know the person standing for office.

Mr Gorman's leaflet has 12 pages of text in which he reveals he was sexually abused as a child and is part of a BDSM group and has slept with over 3,000 people.

He also claims he saved the lives of two IRA men in the 1980s by discovering bombs under their cars.

The candidate is running in both Dublin Bay South and Dublin Central and is campaigning for a united Ireland, tougher bail laws and to stem the flow of migrants into the EU.

His motto is 'Forward Looking, Forward Thinking, Forward Planning'.

About his colourful past, he wrote: "I did take part in 2 porn films in 1985/1986.

"I am bisexual. I am a member of a group that supports BDSM.

"I have since the age of 18 years of age to date, I have had sex with 3,000+ people, having sex 4/5 times per week all safe sex."

He also claimed he knows members of different political parties who have copies of the adult film.

"Even after 30 years... I don't think I was any good in them," he added.

He concluded his piece: "You now know more about me than any other candidate in this or any other General Election."

Mr Gorman told the Irish Daily Star he ran in the General Election in 1997 and received 99 votes.

"Looking at the polls this time I think I will be lucky to get as many as two votes this time," he told the newspaper.

"But even if just one person votes for me because of my honesty then I will be genuinely delighted with that."
