Lets not get too relaxed here. The "Sexual Offences Bill" has gone a considerable distance to date, poised on being passed. Frances Fitzgerald was appointed as Minister for Justice and Equality on the 8th May 2014. She previously served as Minister for Children and Youth Affairs from March 9, 2011. She took over from yer man Alan Shatter when he fucked up in 2014 with the "penalty points" whistle-blower shite. At that time, he was good for our cause, stating he saw no need for this new law.

Frances Fitz decided it a career move to push the bill. She got it thus far in fairness. But if we are to wait til after elections, who knows who will be MOJ (minister of Justice).. But it could be her...

Lets wait and see. Saying a delay of 2 years is overly optimistic I'd say... lets see....

This year-even if Kermit the frog and Bosco form the next government and then guess what?
    Ignore it.

That would be the day ... If we ask that, it's a big chance we are once again told how this site is "just a directory".

Funilly enough, it's not a directory when it's asking for a lot of personal information or deleting a small and innocent thing on my profile, such as "not available until 6 pm"

If it wasn't for the forums, most of us would not had a clue about the proposed legislation. Politics are usually quite tricky anyway, at least for me.

Some or indeed most people are very literal beings.

    You're completely missing the point.

Perhaps you should have a look at

I was going to add to the post you quoted that perhaps some jurisdictions might entertain the point of view of the sellers of sex but I didn't bother.
Whether our jurisdiction is one, I would have major doubts.
Again some people have very black and white interpretations, taking everyrhing literally.

With all due respect, why do you think that we are all relying on clients for this information? This is a forum and it's up for debate, it' no more or less than that. Why on earth would a directory take it upon itself to explain the law to anybody? Least of all a directory that is continually having the finger pointed at it for being one of the biggest pimps in Ireland.

We do have SWAI and several other organisations that can help if we need help.

I personally feel that EI could provide a better service for the money we pay, but with regards to advertising and this forum (which is what they are paid for), not for other issues.

If there are any sex workers on here that would like more information on what is going on I would suggest getting in touch with SWAI. Here is a link to their twitter page where they post up to date info regularly https://twitter.com/SWAIIreland

I say the bill will be passed at some stage in the relatively near future.
Escort business will decline somewhat as nervous clients exit or at least adopt a wait and see policy.
And for some, life will just go on as normal.
    But we'll see in time.

You have major doubts about our jurisdiction striking down the laws.Fair enough.

Conversely,as i expressed earlier,i have doubts that the States imminent law would be upheld.

Didnt think introducing heroin selling added much to the particular train of discussion tbh.
