    Default Happiest Age?

A UK study suggests people aged 65 to 79 are the 'happiest of all'

Those aged 45 to 59 reported the lowest levels of life satisfaction, with men on average less satisfied than women.

One possible reason for the lower happiness and well-being scores among the 45 to 59 age group might be the burden of having to care for children and elderly parents at the same time.

Happiness and well-being dropped off again in those over 80, with researchers suggesting this could be down to personal circumstances such as poor health, living alone and feelings of loneliness.

The over-90 age group reported by far the lowest levels of feeling their life was worthwhile, even though their reported levels of happiness and life satisfaction were comparable to those in their 20s and 30s.

However, I still like, and believe, Gene Kelly’s quote that no-one can jump as high as they could when they were twenty-one. He was referring to dancing but it applies to most other things as well.

The happiest age is the age you are today.
The past is a chimera, a figment of your imagination.
The future is hazy and may evaporated if you step in front of a bus.

In the immortal words of Ivor Callely, quoting from that guru, Kung fu Panda.
    The past is history.
    The future's a mystery.
We only have the gift of today--that's why we call it the present.

I suppose like you when I was a kid.
Playing on my father's farm with my mates, not a care in the world.

At this moment of time, you are the oldest you have ever been and the youngest you'll ever be.
So make the best of it and give less shit.

I don't care about age as long as I still get a boner in the morning
