Default A question for the Mods?

If your Default Answer to every argument on here is it's "Adult Forum". Why close down threads that prevent said Adults from debating/Arguing as long as it stays civil?

Leyla's thread from what I could tell was being discussed fairly with little or no animosity. Why was it shut down in it's prime?

The thread was closed because it seems that children act more grown up than some of the adults on this site.
These kind of thread always seem to end the same way, people arguing, making snide remarks, and just arguing amongst themselves.

    Adult, my arse.
True, you can't be seen to ban the so called adults. Just censor them

The snide remarks as you call them came from one particular poster that set up his account a few days ago, and his forum name is a derivative of the past 3 or 4 names he's had on here!! Perhaps start there Floki.

I understand. But there was another thread deleted the other day started by MrSweetThing about his nervousness meeting escorts etc. I think members should be trusted to be allowed to disagree once they don't act like twats. A little bit of differing perspectives isn't necccessarily a bad thing, in my opinion.

    Banning people does sometimes help.
There are some guys right now on here who have chnaged and become less of a troll thanks to being banned.
Unfortunately it doesn't always work, so a different approach is needed, depending on the situation and on that person themselves.

The point is, if you do nothing, then nothing is going to happen.
If you do report, then something will happen.
Even if this person does come back from a ban (if banned in the first place), then I shall ban them again and keep banning and banning until that person gives up trolling.

I don't mean to sound like I'm attacking you and only wanna offer constructive dialogue. I think you are enabling dickheads when banned members can simply go under a new username and act nice for a month or so. I'm confident the antics will start again. And honestly, what about the victims of their crap? It's not like they are rewarded for not being dicks.

I say all of these becaus online bullying on social media is a very real thing. Unfortunately some people have committed suicide from the barrage of abuse they've received. None of us want that here or anywhere. I don't have all the answers, but I think if you know someone is back under a new username perhaps they should be given a "yellow card" that we all publically can see so if antics start again it's easier to stamp it out.

I would like to also extend a thanks to yourself and the other mods here. It's a thankless task.
