Never liked shopping in Tesco's its like walking the streets of Amsterdam .Constantly have to keep on eye on things or your going to get robbed.

Aldi/Lidl pay good wages staff are friendly and are efficient.

Supermarkets that pay lower wages staff are slow and most of the time don't even say hello.

Contract workers is the biggest joke. If you're employed for something like 2 years they have to offer u a permanent position. So what do they do? Lay u off & employ another zero hours contract worker.
Or alternatively re-employ u on a new contract. No pension rights, sick pay or fuck all. Fuckin disgraceful.
    and its catching on Barney
and the worse part is its
the big multinational companies thats doing it

Tesco are for years trying to get rid of long term staff. First the try and buy them out with giving them redundancy, then bring in young staff give them 20 hours a week in some cases 4 hours a day, teseo are scum and should pay the staff the right rate off pay,

just boycott Tesco , let the manager know you won't be shopping with them until they restore the contracts .
if enough people sent twitter , facebook and email messages they would take notice

    Tesco Customer Services
    Telephone 1850 744 844

btw refuse to use the self service counter , you are helping tesco reduce staff hours by using self service tills

[QUOTE=willie wacker;1707434]This is nothing to do politics but they should tell them it,s a no go.

This is a Union problem and this is why workers play into Unions.

If the Union is worth their salt they will flatly refuse to negotiate and tell them that the 1996 contracts stand are untouchable, full stop.

A lot of the workers are non union and a lot of the big multi nationals don't allow unions. To say that it has nothing to do with politics
is wrong as our Govt are also abusing workers with their stupid community schemes and £20 a week jobs. Just talking to my neighbour
recently said his daughter who works for super value received the minimum wage increase recently but was called in to office and had her hours cut from
27 pw to 25pw so she is now taking home less after getting the pay rise. PARASITES
